Natalia Nakazawa will be addressing a long history of migration within the context of Double Knot, which focuses on old and antique pieces from Turkey, Iran, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Morocco, promoting a better understanding of their rich weaving traditions in the context of their history, art, and culture. She is looking to it as an opportunity to discuss both personal histories while in the presence of original textiles - culminating in an interactive workshop where participants will use fabric remnants to construct personal flags.
