CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - FALL edition of Tribeca Art+Culture Night Festival | NOVEMBER 2019

Tribeca Art+Culture Night is a downtown arts festival that celebrates culture at large in Tribeca and takes place in 30 or more diverse Lower Manhattan venues. The TAC Festival, founded & curated by Jennifer Famery-Mariani, has featured over 1000 artists, 180 exhibitions and 80 special events since its inception in 2016.

We strive to create a welcoming and stimulating environment for all our attendees at every iteration of our festival. The TAC Night team is seeking energetic and highly motivated volunteers to greet and direct guests, and answer general questions during our upcoming summer edition on June 20 (5:00-9:00PM).

What You’ll Do: TAC Night Volunteers are asked to fulfill a number of roles including:

  • Ambassador: volunteers will have the opportunity to participate directly in our outreach efforts as street team members, greeting audiences at events, assisting with check in, and handing out maps.

  • Interceptor: volunteers work with TA Night staff to collect information from attendees onsite through surveys and sign-ups. The information collected will tell us more about our audiences and will impact programmatic and audience outreach strategies and decision-making.

  • Behind-the-scenes: volunteers support logistical needs such as set up, clean up, relationship with artists and transport, all of which is at the core of our ability to provide the best possible audience experience.

We’re Looking for Individuals Who Are:

  • Fun, friendly, and outgoing with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Open to supporting any live, cultural experiences, indoors or outdoors, rain or shine

  • Available to attend periodic meetings

  • Experienced in front of house and/or hospitality duties (preferred, not required)

  • Passionate or curious about the arts

What you will experience

  • TAC Night offers volunteers a one-of-a-kind chance to get involved and discover the off-the-beaten-path Tribeca art scene, get involved with the local art community and get hands on experience in how a festival is run. Perks: TAC Night T-shirts and Limited edition Tote Bag.

Please note: All prospective volunteers must attend a training meeting at 5PM on the day of the festival, before being placed on assignment. These training meetings provide opportunities for volunteers to familiarize themselves with TAC Night and event protocols.

Apply: In order to be considered for a volunteer opportunity, please send us an email at tribecaartnight@gmail.com. We will contact you soon via email regarding upcoming opportunities.
